Challenged to Create

“If you are a person of faith, it is your responsibility to tell God’s story, in every way you can, every form, every medium, every moment. Tell the stories of love and redemption and forgiveness every time you experience them. Tell the stories of reconciliation and surprise and new life everywhere you find them.”
-Shauna Niequist “Bittersweet”

I recently read Shauna Niequist’s book Bittersweet. It was a beautiful and reflective journey, and it ended with a challenge to share your story with the world. She points out that the gospel really moves when it is evident in people and that if God is moving in your life (and he is) then you need to do your part to tell what that is.

So, here is my contribution, I’m not an artist or a musician and this is how I bring God glory. I tell my story, knowing that it is not about me at all. My prayer is that this blog will be a place to see yourself in what has been happening in my life; that this is more than “Jen’s Story Hour.”

One of my favorite songs says, “For you our King, with everything, we will shout for your glory.”

That is my purpose. In this blog. In my life. My job is to live in such a way that I am shouting for his glory with every aspect of who I am. I would love if you learned, grew, cried and laughed along me.
